This resource is part of a comprehensive human rights education programme developed by the LIFT OFF Initiative. The LIFT OFF Initiative is a cross border human rights education initiative that aims to promote a human rights culture in primary schools in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

There are ten lessons focusing on knowledge of human rights issues while further fostering and developing the skills and attitudes acquired from the previous resources in this series, Lift Off and The Right Start.

The lessons focus on identity, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, taking responsibility, gender issues, valuing difference, child labour, conflict and dialogue, the role of children’s rights promoters and defenders and how to take action for human rights.
